Have Questions on Social Media Training?

Below are frequently asked questions on our corporate social media training program. In the case your question isn't addressed, please drop me a note.

Social_Media_Training

•Is training held on-site at company offices?
Yes, training is held on-site at the client's office with their team. In some cases, clients prefer that training sessions be held at an off-site location (which the client designates) so as to provide a special event or retreat format for their executives, managers and teams.

•Do you travel outside of the NYC Metro Area for training?
My team and I travel nationally for projects (as well as internationally).

•Do you hold any off-site (remote) trainings for companies that can't do on-site training?
Yes. While on-site, face-to-face learning environments are optimal, we can certainly accommodate remote training and do so through one of three formats: half-day sessions, full-day sessions and weekly sessions (some clients prefer several sessions that are spread over a 6-week/1x weekly learning schedule). In distance learning formats, we use a Web-enabled/audio-enabled system or a video-enabled format, usually through a telepresence solution.

•What do professionals learn during their training program?
Covering social media trends, tools, practices and processes, our program covers a wide range of areas: please go here for a list of what teams learn through social media training.

•What are the benefits of social media training?
Our social media training program provides six key benefits across improving revenues, relevance, customer relationships, competitive advantage, reach and lowering risk, with all benefits detailed here.

•How many days is the training program?
Contingent upon client preference and how many sessions we cover, training usually lasts 2-3 days, with 3 days being optimal as there is much to cover and learn. The formal report of strategic recommendations and program ideas are provided post-training (see next question for more information on recommendations). Please see next question for information on seminars and workshops.

•Do you also offer seminars and workshops?
We also offer 1-day seminars and half-day workshops which focus your team on a specific social media topic and/or key area or isolated challenge that your company is experiencing in your social media practices, processes or programs.

•Do you have an overview of the training program?
A slideshow covering our process, training sessions, benefits and more is located here.

•When do clients receive the strategic recommendations and program ideas?
While many strategic recommendations and program ideas are discussed on-site, a formal report--with additional analysis and recommendations--is submitted to your team approximately 7-10 business days after the close of training sessions.

•Why do companies need social media training?
Many reasons. Please go here to learn the leading reasons for social media training.

•Do you work with B2C and B2B companies?
Absolutely! Especially given the tremendous opportunities for social media B2B amid the lack of knowledge on revenue potential as it applies to B2B markets. A
ll training sessions and workshops are customized to client industry and customer audience (B2B or B2C) to ensure all practices, examples and lessons are hyper-relevant.

•What is different about your corporate social media training?
There exist so many differences we've created a page detailing them here.

•Do you only conduct social media training for companies, or for agencies as well?
Most training programs are conducted with companies, but we also conduct social media training programs for professional services firms--such as marketing consultancies, ad agencies and PR firms--as they need to learn the ropes in order to better serve their clients.

Additionally, in some cases we partner with other training companies or professional services firms whose training programs/expertise lie in areas other than social media and are seeking to offer this competency to their clients (please feel free to contact me here to discuss joint ventures).

•How much lead time do you require?
It depends upon the scope of the project (i.e. how many days/sessions/instructors are included and whether travel is involved).  On average, most training projects are booked between 3-6 weeks in advance.

•How do you format pricing?
Pricing is a function of several factors, including: number of training sessions/days with the client team, number of attendees and number of instructors needed.

•Do you provide discounts for non-profit organizations?
Yes! We love non-profits and the tremendous work they do and do our best to work within your budgets.

•Where do I find information on your other practice areas?
My other practice areas are detailed here.
