Thanks for all the (*$%!) problems

Battling another big deadline...

and dueling many more deadline demons all week.

Fitting into my favorite jeans right after Turkey Day (and definitely in time for New Year's).

Fretting between whether two new projects will close. Jeez, if neither does, it might be a tight x-mas. Yikes! If both of them hit I won't even have time for x-mas.

Wondering how it could be that I went my whole life and never noticed that I have a dash of blonde highlights in my hair.

Oh wait, those are gray.

Keeping up with my blog.

Keeping up with all the shiny new Web 2.0 objects (where is the time in the day?)

Staying on top of my exploding inbox.

Heck, just staying on top of which subway lines will be down this holiday weekend.

So, what am I most thankful for this Thanksgiving?

My worries and woes.

Why?

Because they are so very small.

Sometimes it's just oh so easy to think about all our problems and how they keep piling up--or how they're not going away as fast as we'd like them to.

Fallleavesthanksgiving25_____ But maybe if we looked at them individually we'd recognize that most of them--and perhaps even all of them--are not at all dire.

I offer it up as it's something that sure keeps me in perspective. And happy.

It's awful sad to think about, but many people would be lucky beyond measure to have the problems we do.

To all you way cool, groovy, smart and smashingly beautiful bloggers, marketers and readers, I say this: May your holiday be grand and your problems small :-).

Wow! Words of wisdom.

You are SO right... things we see as "problems" are often not so important after all. When they bug our lives too much and feel like heavy weights we "have to" carry around, a different perspective and some relativity are precious and help. Like driving our consciousness back on more important things and most of all on the simple joys of life. It helps gather the positive energy that makes us stronger to go through. : )

I wish you a HAPPY Thanksgiving !

So true! :-) --Melissa

Yes, I know the feelings. But all are small worries when you have health, friends and happiness.

Happy turkey day to you too, pal.

CK,
You are so right to put worries and concerns into perspective. I am so grateful for friends and family this time of year and their love and support offsets the other challenges of life. The most wonderful Thanksgiving possible to you and yours!
Gene

the worries of work become immaterial almost when you go home from work, with your best Motorhead T-shirt on and junior says "Daddy - you got a tiger on your shirt!"

in fact - when you're even allowed to wear a Motorhead shirt to work - how indeed can you be worried :)

Have a wonderful "Toikey Day" and then get right back to feeding the rest of us with tasty content right here!

Enjoy the holiday!

(It's 1:40AM, I'm still at work, this seems very logical.)

May your holidays be full of moments like this- remembering blessings is always a good thing.

Much love to you.

CK,

I agree and have been able to stop worrying about work things and money. Some day we can discuss how that happened.

Like you, however, I have three proposals out, and if they don't hit, bad 4th quarter. If they do hit, yikes! Lots and lots of work. But I like doing it.

Plus marketing the book. I hope you received your copy by now.

Happy Thanksgiving!

CK,

Amen! On our worst days, we have it better than most.

And on the days when it feels like it couldn't get worse...we have our friends to hold us up and get us to a better day.

Happy Thanksgiving...our friendship is certainly one of the things I am grateful for this holiday season!

Drew
