In lieu of a welcome mat...

S302p155791_2 While a social media advocate I actually don't think everyone...and every company...needs to blog. Only if professionals or companies can contribute to their audiences and learn through these tools.

But when I see someone that would have a great blog launch theirs I'm just delighted. Mario Vellandi recently launched his blog, titled "Melodies in Marketing." Sure, I like the name a lot (it's nice when marketing and design "sing," eh?). But what I really like is how his proactive voice--he's now starting conversations--is already adding to the community. And he's doing a great job with visuals and a very organized blogroll.

It should be noted that Mario, like the uber-popular-at-lightning-speed David Reich, was active in the community through comments a good six months before launching his blog. Highly considered, thoughtful comments. A man after my own heart, Mario has rocked both segments of Book Club, too. Yes, I admit it, I give favored treatment to my bookworms (yet another incentive to participate next segment, kids ;-).

Mariovsm_3There's really only one thing that bugs me about Mario...he's too young to be so smart and soulful. But don't use it against him and definitely check out Mario's blog. Here's a picture of the cutie.

Welcome aboard, friend. It's better with you here.

Thanks Christina.
It's a pleasure to speak among like minded folk from different professional backgrounds and industry/service experiences. When we can collectively gain insight from each other, we understand the world better tomorrow while having fun in the meantime.

I hope to light some fireworks into the mix here. That group book is going to be insane!
