How to tell a story (dogs don't hurt, either)
While I'd just love to take credit for it (but can't)...Matt Dickman's Techno//Marketer blog just keeps getting better. His posts are becoming more dynamic and this one on Google stalking him is a great example.
Matt could have explained the various points with bullets. But instead he gives us a blow-by-blow (or, uh, hour-by-hour) play, complete with pics. That's some good marketing, my friend. I love how more bloggers are letting us into their lives via pics and videos. It gets the point across and we get to know the person to boot. Net/net: it's show plus tell.
My recommendation to Matt (cuz you know I can't help but give out at least one)...send this gem over to Google--actually, some it to some technology trade publications. I say strike up a relationship out of it; it's a terrific piece for a trade pub.
P.S.: I understand from Matt that no dogs were hurt in the compiling of the post. Yeah, you'll need to go over there to understand...enjoy!
Update (8pm/same day): Matt's piece WILL (!) run in a trade journal...but he can tell you about that when it airs as that's truly his news to share. Congrats Matt ;-).
CK -- Thank you so much for your kind words. You inspired me to write the post in this manner. You are the master storyteller. Thanks again.

Oh Matt, I'm so not the master but you're sweet. I am so proud of you and you deserve this praise. If you get famous, I'll just take the credit then, k?

I was thinking the same, CK can be our ongoing Evangelist.
And it was a good job with the clock and various pics. Good layout to say the least. That musta taken quite some effort; but good planning will save time.

We'll have to build you some sort of brownie points program. Perhaps a fund to get you tickets to Cannes?

Mario (and all): Please just send money. Thanks ;-).

Bob: woof! Yeah, Copeland stole the show but hey, it's a dog's life. A "scream" was the perfect word to coin that gem of a post.
