Taking note of the "little things"

I really enjoy getting comments from you guys (thanks!). But equally fun are the e-mails--the "behind-the-scenes" benefits of blogging, if you will. You fine folks and friends send me the greatest things that just make my day...especially when I'm having an otherwise grueling, deadline-driven day.

After I raved over a video that Mindblob pointed me to several weeks ago, he mocked-up and sent me this fun critter on the right. If you watch the below video you'll see this bugger is in it--well, sans the custom-made sign...that was just for me. Unless there's another CK and it's for them, too ;-).

Let's never forget the little things. They certainly make a BIG difference in our days (our customers' days, too). Btw, while not new, this 3:30 video by Moby is not to be missed -- a great message, if sad (RSS readers: go here).

Wow! Thank you for this surprising post. Yep, I really like the metaphor in this video. Who are we after all? Masses of humans running after time and the accomplishment of "great things"? Or micro-aliens dropped in the big macro-world, that are just trying to share "little things"? Well, we're probably both...

I agree with you CK: "...little things can make a BIG difference in our days". See, today as I was (also) "running like Forrest Gump" you definitely made my day with this gem post. And I thank you for that!

Here's an example of the right message, but perhaps the wrong medium. Or maybe the message needed to have a more explicit call to action. Interesting and, yes, sad.
