I heart you readers (xo)
On this the day of candy, chocolates and kisses, allow me to be a little mushy (c'mon, the day occasions it!). A happy Valentine's Day to all you lovable readers: I thank you for your time, thoughtful comments, smart guidance and friendship. You've been so good to me and I hope this day is extra good to you.
Don't forget to take care of Mr./Ms. Right--or Mr./Ms. "Right Now". And if this day finds you single don't let it get you down. Just blame those retail marketers ;-).
CK V-Day Factoid: I helped out an Aunt at a flower store for Valentine's Day years back and we had to bundle up 5,000 roses--over 400 bunches of red roses. I tried like mad to sell the guys daisies, lilies or tulips. Nope, everyone wanted a dozen red roses. And we had to de-thorn them all. I thought I'd go insane...but at least I helped to ensure a lot of love got made. As a result, I'm not a girl that's big on roses.
Happy V-Day, Missy. :)

Much love back at ya!
I always give the ladies Gerber Daisies and they just swoon over their beauty and uniqueness. The rose is too formal/serious for me...I like to be playful! After all it's not just the flowers, it's the combination of everything else said/done/expressed/gestured

Paul: Back at you x 10.
Mario: I love gerbers (or "gerberas") they are so sleek...and not a single thorn! You are classy--and your ladies are lucky.
Bob: Thank so much...now get ready to read.

This year, it was a "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy" card from the dog. Hey, whadya want after 35 years together? (Actually, we celebrated Valentine's Day early this year, with a fancy dinner, with the whole family together, at The Beach House, a wonderful and classy restaurant in Poipu Beach, Kauai.)
But don't get me started on these "artificial" holidays that the card companies, florists and candy marketers invented long ago and continue to promote for sales' sake.

Mike: Thank you for the poem -- what a rhyming talent you are (on your blog and now here).
Cam: Lovin' your V-Day post at your blog. You get props for the most creative one ;-).
David: Valentine's Aloha style would have been perfect on such a snowy, blowy day here in NYC. I'm just a little glad the blizzard waited for you to get back (hee, hee).
