Coming soon to a city near you.
Since I'm bouncing around for client travels I decided to use it as an opportunity to meet some of my newfound colleagues...geez, what kind of marketer would I be if I didn't leverage opportunities? It's an exercise in going offline, if you will:
- In a couple weeks I'll find Nirvana while grabbing a bite in San Francisco--and yep, I'm billing dinner back to the client.
- Fast forward a week later and I get to meet a logical, if emotional blogger (whose coming to NYC for a BIGwig prez and just got covered in BusinessWeek)
- November will find me in 'Big D' (Dallas) where I will most assuredly be having a Hee-Haw time. And several martinis.
- Only to wind up in Alabama a couple months later to visit with my southern, oh-so-cute momma--and where I'll meet up with a gardener...of the viral variety.
At some point, I really should make an effort to meet some NYC bloggers, eh?
Actually, I'll soon be at a birthday party at a local marketers' studio...but he's been friend long before my blogging buddy. I'm proud to call you guys colleagues (and friends) and look forward to meeting you soon. Thanks for making such a terrific impact on me.
To my many other pals: let me know when you'll be in NYC as I'm dying to meet you, too.
Gee CK, you really get around (in a good way) ;) Looking forward to meeting you in person. It's really cool that you are taking the time to meet with us.

I'm afraid. Very afraid.
Maybe we should get a Dallas Geek Dinner of some sort. Noone does anything cool like that outside of the coasts, it seems.
Maybe Mack Simpson or John Keehler, too?

Logical/Emotional: Of course I'm taking time to meet with you guys. These relationships are real, advancing and it's my honor to meet the "real you". Can't wait to see you in action at your presentation (can I hoot and holler? Or rather I should heckle you?). Just kidding :-).
Hee-Haw: I would love to meet fellow bloggers (or friends I've yet to meet). As soon as I know my dates for Big D, would you organize? Btw, I'll be the "chic geek" at the geek dinner and I'm all too ready to get my geek on. I'm a NYC girl so I shall need transportion to the venue (read: I'm not gonna be the designated driver)

I could give that a shot. Get the dates together and we'll get 'r done.
I can't believe I just referenced that awful, awful show. Ehh.

The CK world tour! I'm so glad you added an Alabama date ;) BTW I just checked the calendar and SXSW is next March, who's for meeting up there? I definitely want to go next year.

Mack: I may be able to get a client to pay my way for the SXSW trip, actually (they want to be at that event) so I might be up for it. See how my world works? I work to get the client to fund the travel when possible. Now if I could only get a client in Fiji...
But I'll definitely see you in 'Bama (please don't tell Momma that you're an Alabama U. fan, my family are Auburn die-hards...even made me go to the damn Citrus Bowl in Orlando last year).

Hi CK,
I look forward to seeing you soon.
I also can't wait to read about your "travels" on your blog.

Did anyone mention Boston? Anyone? Anyone...?

Well Ann, I guess I'm still hoping to get you down here for the Nov. Sing-A-Long (your kids would LOVE it!).
If I can land a client up in Boston...I'll be there soon.
